Dave Grohl Spent 16 Hours Cooking BBQ For The Homeless During LA Storms!

If you didn’t think Dave Grohl could get any more awesome, here’s the evidence he could.

Last week, the Foo Fighters frontman took it upon himself to bring his massive meat smoker to Hope The Mission in Los Angeles, where he made it his personal mission to fill the bellies of those in need during the unprecedented Cali storms.

According to TMZ, the 54-year-old arrived at the nonprofit last Wednesday around midnight and spent the next 16 hours cookin’ up 500 servings of his smoked specialties! Included in his spread were ribs, pork butt, brisket, cabbage, coleslaw, and beans. Yum!

Hope of the Valley CEO Rowan Vansleve posted a video of the event on Instagram last Friday, where Dave excitedly talked about being “all in.” Vansleve captioned video:

“In the middle of our 350 mile run to end homelessness, we got the coolest video ever from Dave Grohl, of the Foo Fighters. Not only did I wish us luck, but he cooked for hundreds of people who live in our shelters in the middle of one of the worst storms. Nothing but love and respect for Dave.”

Insiders told TMZ the guitarist took care of all the expenses himself, and when it came time to dish up, helped feed 450 guests and 50 staff members! And he wasn’t even going to tell anyone about it! Hence why we’re just hearing about it a WEEK later!

That’s OUR Hero! Special shoutout to hopeofthevalley.org for helping put on this amazing event!
