Just when you thought these Wicked lovebirds had gone off-key, Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater are reportedly proving the music hasn’t stopped… behind the scenes.

The internet has been ablaze with rumors that these two have called it quits. But according to new insider tea, the only thing frozen between them might be the air conditioning in Ariana’s luxury London hotel suite. No, seriously!

Sources spilled to multiple outlets on Tuesday that despite the swirling speculation, Ariana and Ethan are still going strong. While some fans were ready to declare their romance DOA, multiple insiders say the couple has simply become hyper-private, opting to choose discretion over drama as they navigate the global spotlight of the Wicked press tour.

For one, TMZ reports that witnesses at the flick’s London premiere saw the pair being affectionate backstage, even though the cameras never caught a single cozy moment. The duo was supposedly holding hands and being affectionate away from the cameras, that outlet reported. An insider even told the outlet that everything is great between the pop star and her man — and they always make time for each other even though they’re busy AF. Well, that’s nice!

Then, a separate report from The Sun that also hit the ‘net on Tuesday took it one step further. It cited an insider who claimed the duo’s connection was heating up behind closed doors that very same night after the Wicked: For Good premiere and after-party.

That outlet’s source said:

“Ariana and Ethan are still a couple but they’ve seen the chatter online and it’s not been easy. They were both at the Leicester Square premiere and the ­after-party at Brasserie Zedel but made sure they weren’t seen together. Obviously it fuels the speculation around them, but they don’t want their relationship to play out in public.”

Huh? “Made sure they weren’t seen together” but they’re doing fine?!?! Ooookay…

And the plot thickens from there, because apparently, the night didn’t end at the after-party! The pair supposedly low-key moved to Ariana’s Mandarin Oriental Hotel suite for more! Here’s what the insider had to say about the secret room rendezvous:

“When Ariana left the after-party, she went back to her hotel suite. Not long after, Ethan was taken there and went up to see Ariana to spend time with her. They are aware of what is being said and it’s not easy for them but they’re doing the best they can to snatch some quiet moments when no one is watching.”

Hmmm…

So, while fans were busy dissecting seating arrangements and red carpet distances, Ethan was reportedly sneaking up to Ariana’s hotel hideaway for a little post-premiere privacy. If that’s true, you can hear the door clicking shut on those breakup rumors!

The duo has since jetted off to Singapore with their Wicked co-stars for more promo push. But after that comes much-needed downtime, the Sun source said:

“Once this next round of promo is completed for Wicked: For Good, Ariana and Ethan will be spending some time together out of the public eye. They’ve always preferred to be low-key and are happier just chilling at home together. No one is saying the past few months have been totally rosy but their relationship is still very much on.”
