Donald Glover‘s new Star Wars project Lando is going to be heading to a theater near you!
The 39-year-old actor is set to reprise the role of Lando Calrissian, which he first played in the 2018 movie Solo. While the project was initially being pitched as a Disney+ series, it has recently been upgraded to a movie.

Variety confirmed the news with Lucasfilm.
The outlet noted that Donald‘s brother and creative collaborator Stephen Glover also teased the possibility of making a movie during a recent podcast appearance.
It was announced that Donald had joined the project back in July when Haunted Mansion director Justin Simien exited.
We’ll keep you updated as we learn more about the movie, which is on pause at the moment due to the various strikes in Hollywood.
In the meantime, Donald recently revealed that one of his biggest hits was initially going to diss another beloved rapper.
