Emilia Clarke is making her debut within the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the newly released Secret Invasion on Disney+, and she’s opening up about a near-miss that took place while filming the show.

The 36-year-old Game of Thrones actress explained that while filming a scene in a car, she almost ran over co-star Samuel L. Jackson!

She broke down the moment in a recent interview and even revealed Samuel‘s response.

Speaking to Yahoo Entertainment, Emilia explained that she was filming a scene in a car with controls that she wasn’t familiar with, which led to a big problem.

She said that production was rushing, and she went with it. It didn’t go according to plans, though. In the scene, she drove right up to the camera, which was right next to Samuel.

“I pressed the wrong thing, I pressed the accelerator rather than the brake,” she said.

Despite almost being run over, Emilia said that Samuel was “very gentlemanly and lovely and nice.”

They found a solution, too: “And then I cried, and someone else drove it for me. I hopped out at the end and was like ‘Oh, that was good.’”
