Gal Gadot has revealed that she auditioned for the role of the Evil Queen in the upcoming live action Snow White movie.

The 38-year-old actress admitted in a new interview with GQ that she hasn’t done that for a movie in a while.

In the video interview, Gal shared that she went deep into preparing for the audition, too, practicing the song she prepared for a month.

“It was the first time I had to kind of audition for a project in a while,” she said. “They needed to make sure I can sing, because this is a musical. So for a month I was working on the song, and then I auditioned, and we filmed the song and I got the part, and it was very exciting.”

Gal then added that after she got the role, that she was impressed with everything about it.

“It was so much to shoot, because it’s so different from anything I’ve ever done,” she shared. “It’s so delicious and delightful, and I could really go big and theatrical.”

In a separate interview, Gal opened up more about her role in the movie, which she’ll star opposite Rachel Zegler.
