“I just think that a Fantasy Suite for someone of my age may look quite different,” Gerry shared with Entertainment Tonight. “The activities could be quite different than for someone in their 20s and 30s.”
Gerry went on to say that the possible Fantasy Suite activities “really don’t” make him nervous, but he did admit “they make my daughters a lot more nervous than me.”
If you didn’t know, Gerry shares his two daughters – Angie and Jenny - with late wife Toni. He also has two granddaughters – Charlee and Payton.
In past seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, Fantasy Suites take place when the lead has narrowed down their suitors to the final three, but some physical activities – including – have known to happen as early as the first night.
“That they said absolutely none of that. They said don’t do it,” Gerry joked of his daughters, before adding that he’s “been ignoring that part of the advice.”
On a more serious note, Gerry said that his family has “given good advice” as he prepared for The Golden Bachelor.
“They said pick your moments. They said enjoy every minute you can,” Gerry said. “They are very much fans of the show. They got me started watching it. They were the ones that motivated me to respond early on to the casting call.”
In another recent interview, Gerry revealed the age range for the women he requested take part in The Golden Bachelor.
