People on TikTok have been creating their own short horror films inspired by the Grimace milkshake. After people take a sip of the purple drink, videos cut to them laying on the ground and playing dead with the shake coming out of their mouth.
Why this trend? Grimace has been described as evil and a “shake stealer” in old ads for the company. So it appears people have taken the evil concept even further!
The #GrimaceShake hashtag has over 881 million views at the time of this posting and now McDonald’s is finally responding to all of the buzz.
The official Instagram account for the fast food chain posted a photo of Grimace with the caption, “mee pretending I don’t see the grimace shake trendd.”
