Last week, executive producer Brian Bird told fans that production did begin last week for the upcoming season, but not all of the actors would participate because of the strike.

Pascale Hutton was one of the lone actors able to participate because she is part of ACTRA, and not SAG-AFTRA, as many others are. She had shared costume fittings and behind-the-scenes moments on her Instagram.

“Our intrepid and fearless Vancouver production team have prepared an extraordinary contingency plan that will honor the WGA and SAG/ACTRA strikes, while at the same time keeping the streets of Hope Valley very busy in the weeks and months ahead. On Monday, July 17, the production of Season 11 BEGINS with all of our fine Canadian writers and cast- and-crew-members back to work while we wait for a peaceful resolution of these labor talks,” he wrote last week. The post has since been edited.

According to Deadline, Erin, and many other stars are now able to start working on season 11 with Pascale.
