Seems like Channing Tatum really is ready to be the bigger man!

The Magic Mike star is fresh off the news earlier this week that his former longtime love, Jenna Dewan, got engaged to her new man, Steve Kazee. And although Tatum and Dewan have a LOT of personal history together — including daughter Everly who they continue to co-parent — it sounds like the Dear John star is nothing but happy for his ex-wife!

A source with insider info about Tatum’s reaction to the news shared the details with E! News, and it sounds like Channing is ready to take the high road — ever as classy as always — in wishing the best for his one-time love.

The insider explained it a bit more, revealing (below):

“Channing is very happy for Jenna and Steve’s engagement. Channing has expressed that he is happy Jenna is in a good place and has moved on.”

And it sounds like the ever-mature ex-couple knows they will always be connected, anyways, considering the strong co-parenting vibe they’ve been able to let thrive in the form of their beloved 6-year-old daughter.

The source explained things a bit more there, adding:

“Jenna has a special place in [Channing’s] heart since she is the mother of their child, but they have both moved on and are happy in their new relationships. Channing’s main priority and concern is his daughter, and him and Jenna are both happy to have worked out a co-parenting agreement.”

Now that’s exactly how co-parenting should be!
