The big news was shared during the annual Apple Event, which was streamed live on the company’s website on Tuesday (September 12).
In addition to the new iPhone, Apple also announced the Apple Watch Series 9 and the big switch to USB-C power cords.

There are several new versions of the iPhone 15 being released – the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Here are some of the features:
- Five colors: Pink, yellow, green, blue, and black
- Twice as bright as the iPhone 14
- Color embedded into the glass
- Upgraded camera system with 48MP main camera, 2x telephoto, continuous zoom, and next generation portraits
- USB-C charging
- All-day battery life for all versions
- Precision finding for Find My Friends, giving you directions to find your friend once a location is shared
- iPhone 15 Pro uses titanium instead of stainless steel, making it lighter than before
- Mute button is gone on the iPhone 15 Pro and being replaced by customizable Action Button

The pre-order for iPhone 15 begins on Friday (September 15) and the phones will be released on September 22.
