The widow of James Van Der Beek is mourning the loss of Eric Dane.

On Saturday, Kimberly Van Der Beek took to Instagram Stories to post a throwback group photo of her and the Dawson’s Creek alum alongside Eric and his wife, Rebecca Gayheart, with their two daughters, Billie and Georgia Dane, at the 16th annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in 2017. Kimberly added a caption that read, saying how much she will miss Eric and James’ laugh during the holidays:

“RIP @realericdane. We love you. Will miss our guys laughing at Christmas parties together.”

It must be so hard grieving not only the loss of her husband but also her dear friend. As you know, we lost both actors this month. James died at the age of 48 on February 11 following a battle with stage 3 colorectal cancer. Eight days later, Eric passed away after battling the neurodegenerative disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ALS.
