Oh no!
Jamie Foxx was hospitalized on Tuesday morning after suffering an unspecified “medical emergency,” according to sources for TMZ. The insiders stressed the issue was serious enough that some of the actor’s family traveled into town to come to the hospital. Luckily, things already seem to be improving, with one confidant sharing:
“He’s communicating now, and that’s good news.”
Whoa. Sounds like this was really bad if he wasn’t able to communicate before! Scary!

The world was first alerted of trouble when Jamie’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, shared the upsetting news on Instagram on Wednesday. She said the 55-year-old suffered a “medical complication” but has received “great care” in the hospital and is now on the mend, adding:
“We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”
It remains unclear what happened or if the Day Shift star was experiencing any symptoms that caused him to seek help. Jamie was last seen in Atlanta, Georgia on Monday working on the set of his new film, Back in Action, with Glenn Close and Cameron Diaz. It’s unclear when he will be out of the hospital and back to work.
We are sending him and his family lots of love. Here’s to a speedy recovery!
