Jenna Dewan is back and better than ever!
A very public divorce from Channing Tatum rocked her world for a bit, but the actress and dancer has fully recalibrated lately, and appears to be winning in life… and love!
Judging by her recent comments to People about the changes she’s made in her life, it sounds like things are going really, really well for the sweet star!

The 38-year-old spoke to the mag this week for its most recent issue, first sharing some insight into the dark times that quickly came following her split from longtime love Tatum in 2017, after nine years of marriage (below):
“I always say no one gets married to hopefully get divorced. People grow and they change and sometimes they don’t grow and change together. So it wasn’t a overnight thing that happened. There was no one event. I think it was just a slow realization that we wanted different things. I was just gutted. It was so difficult for me. It was the loss of an idealistic future for myself and my life. What does that now look like for me? Where do I begin? I met him when I was 24, I didn’t know life without Chan.”
Wow!
We can’t even imagine where to begin — especially with the couple’s young daughter Everly in tow, as well.
Fortunately for Dewan, she had a core group of family and friends to turn to at the time — and was remarkably realistic and grounded about how much her life was changing pretty much from the very start of the split:
“You would never expect your life to take a turn the way it does. But embracing it and starting fresh and figuring out what you want in life and what means a lot to you and what’s meaningful, what is going to make you happy. I’m grateful that I now am at a place where I understand myself and what I want and I’m happy about this new chapter. I’m in a place of joy. We’re all aware that it’s a new normal [coparenting while divorced], we’re all getting used to it. You can still have a relationship and just because the forms change as to who you are to each other, it doesn’t take away from the love that we had or that we shared all those years.”
Amen!!!
Very mature and well said… and very important to be on that page, especially for Everly and her own development as a child and young adult.
As the dance diva herself knows all too well, good things come to those who wait — and work! While she’s now head over heels in love with her new man, 38-year-old actor Steve Kazee, it clearly took some time to get back to this happy place after the Tatum split.
The TV host and momma is right on track again, though, and it sounds like she’s right where she needs to be (below):
“It wasn’t easy necessarily, to get here, which nothing is easy in life, right? I had to put in the work. This doesn’t just happen overnight. But just to know that it’s possible, and your perspective on life can change. It can change for the better, and you’ll be fine … It was a hard journey of growth and change. Ultimately now I can honestly say that I’m living in a very joyful new place in my life, and I’m happy about it.”
Amen to that! So happy to hear Jenna is over the moon — as she expects the couple’s first child together, no less! Such a happy time for this young and growing family…
What do U think, Perezcious readers?! Are you happy to see Miz Dewan at her happiest, or what??
BTW, you can get her new book, Gracefully You: How to Live Your Best Life Every Day, when it hits bookstores on October 22. Love it!
