Jimmy Kimmel almost stepped away from the late night television.
The 55-year-old Jimmy Kimmel Live host opened up about why he ultimately decided to keep on going, on the debut episode of his new Spotify podcast series, Strike Force Five.

Jimmy, is just one of the five late night hosts on the program, revealed that he was very serious about stepping away.
“I was very intent on retiring right around the time where the strike started,” he shared. “And now, I realize, Oh yeah, it’s kind of nice to work.”
Following his admission, Seth Meyers told him that he was “the Tom Brady of late night… you have feigned retirement.”
However, Jimmy insisted it was a very serious conversation he had.
“I was serious, I was very, very serious.”
