Joey King is preparing for her upcoming wedding to Steven Piet and she’s opening up about their “non-traditional” plans.

The 24-year-old Emmy-nominated actress, who recently wrapped work on the upcoming Hulu series We Were The Lucky Ones, has been engaged since February 2022.

Joey and Steven met while working together on the Hulu limited series The Act, which she starred in and he directed two episodes.

“I mean, it’s funny, because we don’t have too many traditions in our families that we are doing,” Joey told People. She added, “we have some unique things that we are hopefully starting as traditions, that it’s a little non-traditional in the wedding, but it’s very cool to kind of combine your backgrounds growing up.”

“We’re not religious people at all, and just incorporating those kinds of traditions that happen in those kinds of weddings. It’s just exciting to represent who you both are as people and in front of all the people that you just love so much,” she added.

Joey recently shared photos from her Bachelorette weekend in Napa Valley and she opened up about the “insane” trip.

“It was insane. We went wine tasting, my sister threw up. It was hilarious,” Joey told People.

Joey said one of her favorite details of the weekend were custom cookies made by Frosty’z Bakery by Jaeden that featured a bulge in boxer shorts.

“I think one of my favorite pieces of the puzzle were these cookies,” Joey said. “She made these cookies that were shaped like boxers that had a little icing bulge in them. It wasn’t a giant penis cookie. It was just a very tasteful representation, and they were delicious as well. So that was one of the more memorable parts because it was just so funny, but also, I’d never seen anything like that before… They were so good. Because I hate when desserts are beautiful and they don’t taste good. These were amazing.”
