Last month, disgraced former reality star Josh Duggar was transferred to federal prison.
In many ways, prison is a horror, filled with people who do not deserve to be there.
Josh, a confessed sexual predator who is behind bars for receiving CSAM, is no innocent.
With nothing but time on his hands, this twisted monster is now stewing in hard-earned misery.
Obviously, none of us thinks exactly like someone as depraved as Josh Duggar.
But we are all capable of imagining his well-deserved despair.
He’s not behind bars for being poor or for drugs or for protesting — he has proven that he is a danger to children.
An inside source spoke to In Touch Weekly about how Josh is handling this.
According to the insider, Josh “totally took for granted” his comfort and freedom.
Now, he will be spending the next twelve years or so in Seagoville FCI in Texas.
The source acknowledged that the life that Josh has “destroyed” the life that he once enjoyed.
“For all the sanctimonious crap he spewed about forgiveness and being a changed man,” the insider remarked.
The source commented: “Look where it got him.” They’re not wrong.
According to the insider, Josh’s grim new “reality” has finally “set in.”
The source characterized: “Now, he’ll know what hell is really like.”
Well said. A bit dramatic, but well said.
As we previously reported, Josh Duggar is terrified of prison, and understandably so.
Josh is serving his sentence at a low security facility, not a place for violent career criminals.
As horrific and very physical as the crimes committed on camera were, Josh committed his crimes on a computer. This time.
Seagoville does not have a reputation for violence against inmates.
That does not mean that it does not happen. And he could be a tempting target.
Josh is two things that put him in particular danger: He is famous. His crimes involve children.
Some people express glee at the thought of predators like Josh receiving extrajudicial punishments behind prison walls.
However, this kind of vigilante justice is difficult to celebrate when innocent people could be victims.
We can despite Josh for who he has chosen to be and for the harm that he has done and still question if things should be this way.
Josh will not be getting any relief during his sentence.
The prison will not allow conjugal visits for the disgraced former reality star. This will be an adjustment.
For years, Josh has been getting what he wants from his wife without consideration for her wants or needs.
Anna is not behind bars, but she is hardly “free.” She remains condemned to this life.
It is unlikely that she will consider divorcing Josh, let alone go through with it, while he is behind bars.
She is even less likely to find a boyfriend — a foreign concept within the cult. Her husband is not IBLP’s first or last predator.
In fact, Anna is likely to give her children a sanitized version of her father’s crimes. We know this.
She has no real life skills. She was born into a cult and raised to be a wife and mother, nothing more.
Anna has few options right now. Actually, she has had very few choices ever. She was, grimly, born for this.
Then again, people “wake up” and realize that they need to leave a cult. It happens all of the time.
A shock like Josh’s continued incarceration could do the trick for Anna. At least, we hope so.
If Anna left Josh and left the cult, she could make it. Imagine how many people would buy a tell-all book! She could support herself and her children
