Eagle-eyed Instagram followers noticed Tristan’s name mysteriously reappearing on the KarJenner’s annual gingerbread house this year after being noticeably absent during the last Christmas season. Which, ummm, uh-oh! Cue the speculation. Cue the whispers. Cue the collective gasp from people who have watched this relationship rollercoaster play out in real time for nearly a decade!!!!

After all, if his name was back on the house, surely that means something, right?! Especially when other names on the sugary structure included Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend Timothée Chalamet and Kourtney Kardashian’s husband Travis Barker. So, uh, yeah — the optics were opticking.
Naturally, fans took to the comments, because when has anyone ever stayed quiet about Khloé and Tristan?! One concerned follower dropped a warning that basically summed up the mood of the entire internet since 2018:
“I see Tristan is on the Gingerbread House, girl, he ain’t gonna change. Be careful!”
And instead of ignoring it, clapping back, or posting a cryptic quote about healing, Khloé did something surprisingly refreshing: she responded with a level of grace that deserves a slow clap.
She wrote back:
