Kim Kardashian’s year from hell is finally over… and she’s hoping 2026 shapes up differently.
On Thursday, a source opened up to the DailyMail.com about what a rough ride 2025 was for the SKIMS founder:
“Kim cannot wait for the new year, because this has been one of her worst, if not the worst. It has been so trying that she does not know what she will do if 2026 is worse.”
2025 brought several humbling developments to the reality star’s life… While she may have finally completed her law program after six years, she unfortunately failed her Bar exam:
“Failing the bar was a major slap in the face and a massive blow to her ego.”
The saddening moment she found was documented on season 7 of The Kardashians. But luckily, her mom Kris Jenner, sister Khloé Kardashian, and oldest son Saint, 10, were there to comfort her. Watch (below):
And while motherhood isn’t something Kim would trade for the world, 2025 proved to be a difficult year balancing her personal and professional life — especially with Kanye West as a co-parent:
“Being a mom is tough. She loves her kids, but along with the rest of her life being so busy, it has been a struggle while dealing with everything else in her personal life. It’s tough co-parenting with Kanye.”

In October, Kim revealed on the Call Her Daddy podcast that at the time, North, 12, Saint, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6, hadn’t seen their father in “months.”
“What do you think coparenting with Kanye West is like? … It’s not easy, but I mean, I raise the kids full time. They live with me, and I welcome a great, healthy relationship with my kids and their dad, and I think he knows that. I push for it all the time, but I also protect them when it’s time for that, and it goes in waves and phases, and it’s a lot of work … It’s probably been a couple months since we’ve heard from him.”
Now, Kim is apparently not confident she will ever find love again. The source noted she “doesn’t know if she will ever have time to have another serious relationship in her life. She would love to find love again, but what this year has shown her is that you can’t have it all.”
They added:
“She’s not getting any younger and is stuck in her ways, and to find someone that would meet her in the middle and be an important man in her life to her and her kids might just be impossible.”
Well at least she has a start on designing her next wedding dress just in case! In the time since divorcing Ye, Kim has been romantically connected to Pete Davidson, Odell Beckham Jr., and Tom Brady.
But to avoid thinking about her uncertain future too much, Kim apparently “buries herself in work” … which isn’t necessarily healthy.
As we’ve been following, Kim runs multiple businesses, films The Kardashians, acts in multiple scripted projects, and is a full-time mom to four kids. And she believes the stress of everything — namely her fractured relationship with Kanye — has led her to develop a brain aneurysm.
Poor Kimmy! Seriously! We’re glad she and Ye were able to amicably reunite for Christmas… Hopefully that’s a right step in the direction of taking some of the stress off her shoulders!
In addition to everything else, Kim learned she failed the Bar the same day All’s Fair debuted to abysmal reviews. Which was a CRUSHING blow as the 45-year-old apparently had dreams of her role landing her an Emmy nomination:
“She was excited for her role in All’s Fair, and she is looking forward to filming Season 2, but the reaction it got from critics and viewers was another blow. She put in a lot of work, and for it to be panned upset her to no end. She had hoped it might get her an Emmy nomination.”
Oof. Maybe season 2?…
On top of everything above, Kim also returned to Paris in 2025 to confront in trial the men who robbed her in 2016, for which eight people were found guilty. The source noted “returning to Paris for the trial was the hardest moment for [Kardashian] this year.”
“Everything before and after just added to it. The only saving grace was that she doesn’t have to go back to that — that chapter is over.”
However, Kim’s family, including matriarch Momager Kris, have been by her side through it all:
“Kim has gone through a bunch of stuff this year and her family has mentioned to her that she should feel uplifted — that all these tests are in God’s plan and that she will be better off. But it’s hard for her to believe that. She feels defeated. Nobody is feeling her pain from this year. She’s exhausted.”
