This story is absolutely insane… and it’s also what our crumbling society so perfectly deserves as we wrap up the hellscape of a year that was 2019.
Kim Kardashian West is clapping back against claims she bought John F. Kennedy‘s bloody shirt to give as a gift to her daughter, North West. Wait… WHAT?!

This unfounded rumor comes on the heels of our reporting earlier this week on how the beauty biz mogul did buy Nori two items from the late Michael Jackson‘s closet.
The crazy controversy all started on Monday when Refinery 29 published an article alleging that in addition to the Jackson gift, Kim and Kanye West also purchased the shirt the President had been wearing on the day he was assassinated. Of course, Kennedy was shot and killed during an appearance in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963.
As it turns out, the bloody shirt claim was a hoax started by a social media user who created fake Instagram Stories post about Kennedy. “Along with Michael Jackson’s jacket and hat,” read a written message in the fake post, “North also got the shirt John F. Kennedy wore when he was assassinated.” Uhhh… that’s INSANE!
Even so, the “news” quickly spread like wildfire across social media, and Refinery 29 picked up the story and ran with it. Thankfully, they have since edited their article to exclude the JFK claim.

One social media user tweeted directly at the reality TV momma about the controversy late Monday morning, sharing a screenshot of the original story and writing (below):
“I AM SCREAMING someone tweeted as a joke that Kim Kardashian gifted North JFK’s bloody shirt and Refinery29 wrote about it as if it were true????”

Horrified, as one would expect, Kim quote-tweeted the message and categorically denied ever purchasing the President’s blood-stained shirt. In her own tweet about the matter, the makeup mogul confirmed the ghastly IG Story was “obviously fake” and a “sick joke” which she never posted:

Like we said… absolutely crazy.
It’s probably just believable enough for some after the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star’s purchase of Jackson’s (extremely expensive) vintage clothing, and that’s why the fake post took off as it did. But it’s also a ghoulish thing to buy, especially for a 6-year-old, and we can’t imagine image-conscious Kim ever doing something like that.
