Kody Brown has stopped trying to hide it.
On Sunday night's brand new episode of Sister Wives, the father of 18 talked openly about his relationship with his first spouss, coming right now and admitting for all the hear clearly:
There is no relationship with Meri.
None. At. All.
On Sunday's episode of the long-running TLC series, Christine, Janelle, Meri and Robyn were all hunkered down in their respective houses amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The outbreak happened to come not long after everyone got together to discuss the disconnect in their relationships.
The Browns had already been living apart in Flagstaff and tension was already running high.
As a result, this may be stating the obvious for pretty much all Americans, but the coronavirus couldn't have come at a worse time.
This was especially true for Meri and Kody, who scarcely were seeing each other even before COVID-19 hit.
"They say that a person needs four hugs a day just to survive," Meri said very candidly in a confessional, adding:
"People probably are not getting four hugs a day right now. I love hugs and touch, from the appropriate person, you know what I mean?
"And when you don't have that, it feels really, really lonely."
Wow, huh?
We've often tried to shine a light on how miserable the Sister Wives seem, but Meri took it to a brand new level on this episode.
We feel awful for her.
"I'm really careful about pushing Kody, because I don't want him to feel like I'm being demanding or pushy or anything like that," Meri continued.
"You know, I don't know what Kody is going to be doing after the two-week quarantine.
"I don't know what his plans are -- I can't speak to that, honestly."
But didn't Kody split her time equally between all four Sister Wives last year during the pandemic?
Nope, Meri explained on air, revealing that while her spiritual husband visited her fellow three sister wives often... he didn't go to her house much.
"He doesn't typically come to my house very often. Maybe now that Mariah and Audrey are here, he might come and visit with them at the end of the two weeks," Meri told cameras of the couple's daughter and her fiancee.
"But he basically is just going to be going between Janelle and Christine and Robyn, that's typically what he does.
"Just calling it like it is."
In early December, Meri told Instagram followers that she loves Kody and is committed to Kody.
We guess both these things may still be true.
But Kody didn't sound like a man committed or in love on this installment of Sister Wives.
"There's just been nothing going on between me and Meri," he told cameras simply.
"She interacts with the family for the holidays and the birthdays, we get together once in a while, I see Meri once in a blue moon.
Why? Because Kody admittedly makes no effort
"But we quit dating and that's just probably because I quit calling her to say, 'Let's go do something.'"
Kody and Meri got married way back in April 1990.
Three years later, the pair welcomed sister wife Janelle into their plural marriage... who was followed in 1994 by Christine.
Most recently, Robyn joined the Brown family as Kody's fourth wife in 2010; prompting Kody to file for divorce from Meri in order to legally adopt Robyn's kids from a previous relationship.
There's been major distance between Meri and Kody ever since, with the former even trying to date in 2015.
She has since returned to her marriage, although it seems like a pretty empty romance.
Speaking for both himself and Meri a few weeks ago on air, Kody told producers that "neither of us see real value in the relationship.
"Because if Meri and I really wanted to be together, we would."
