Lizzo Sued By Another Former Member of Her Team, Faces Similar Allegations From Dancers' Lawsuit

Lizzo is being sued by another former member of her team.

The 35-year-old “Rumors” hitmaker was named in a lawsuit by her former stylist, Asha Daniels, who you might remember from her time as a contestant on Project Runway.

Her allegations mirror some of the ones listed in the lawsuit filed by three former dancers earlier this summer.

According to ET, who examined the legal documents, Asha accused Lizzo of creating “a sexualized, racially charged and illegal work environment.” She alleged that the singer doesn’t stop her management team from mistreating others who work under them.

Asha worked with Lizzo creating costumes for her dancers for her tour this year. She alleges that she often worked 20-hour days without a break.

She also highlighted wardrobe manager Amanda Nomura as being problematic. Amanda is one of multiple other people named in the lawsuit alongside Lizzo.

Regarding Amanda, Asha said she made “racist and fatphobic comments” and said cruel things about Lizzo and her backup dancers “on multiple occasions.”

Amanda was also accused of alluded to being willing to physically harm others, and Asha claimed that tour manager Carlina Gugliotta referred to her as “crazy” and implied Amanda insisted that Asha be let go.

Lizzo‘s legal team issued a statement in response to the lawsuit: “As Lizzo receives a Humanitarian Award tonight from the Black Music Action Coalition for the incredible charitable work she has done to lift up all people, an ambulance-chasing lawyer tries to sully this honor by recruiting someone to file a bogus, absurd publicity-stunt lawsuit who, wait for it, never actually met or even spoke with Lizzo. We will pay this as much attention as it deserves. None.”

The musician settled a lawsuit outside of court with 14 of her other dancers, who took issue with being included in her HBO documentary.

Reports suggest that Lizzo is prepared to countersue the three dancers in the initial lawsuit. She has also received support from other members of her dance team.
