Mandy Moore is showing Hilary Duff’s hubby some love amid all their drama with Ashley Tisdale!
On Wednesday night, the 41-year-old actress performed her hit song Candy at the A Concert for Altadena benefit for the survivors of the California wildfires last year. Matthew Koma recorded and posted the performance on Instagram Stories, which Mandy saw and re-posted to her own account. She also sang his praises in the caption, saying:
“@matthewkoma happens to be one of the most talented and generous humans I’m lucky to know. He literally gave my family a place to stay one year ago today when we evacuated. Love you, MB!”

As you may recall, Hilary and Matthew took in Mandy, her husband Taylor Goldsmith, and their kids August, 4, Oscar, 3, and Louise, 1, when they had to evacuate amid the fires. Sadly, although the “main part” of their Altadena home remained standing, they could not return since it was “not livable” anymore. Thankfully, Mandy and her family had great friends willing to help them out during their time of need — but that did not include Ashley, according to a report.
This week, Mandy, Hilary, Ashley, Meghan Trainor, and their mom group have been making headlines because the High School Musical alum put her former pals on blast. Without naming names, she slammed her ex-besties in a scathing essay for The Cut, claiming she had to cut ties with them because they became “toxic,” behaved like mean girls, and excluded her from events.
People quickly speculated that Ashley was dissing her famous mom group. And although her rep tried to shut it down, Matthew stirred the pot by mocking the He Said She Said singer’s cover photo and saying she is “the most self obsessed tone deaf person on Earth.” Yikes. We’ve heard that her mom friends started distancing themselves from Ashley because of her political views and response to the wildfires last year. She reportedly didn’t check on or offer to help any of her friends impacted by the tragedy, not even Mandy. A source close to the mom group added to The US Sun:
“Her friends felt the amount of self-absorption she showed just got worse, and it was impossible to maintain a friendship with her since it was so one-sided. It seemed like she was only interested in things that benefited her or suited her interests.”
