Matt Roloff: My Kids are Entitled! I’m Glad They Aren’t Getting the Farm!

As the some folks out there might say these days?

When it comes to his decision to NOT sell a portion of his farm to any of his children, Matt Roloff is sorry-not-sorry.

The father of four stirred up quite a bit of controversy in May when he announced that 16 acres of this property would be going on the market.

It had been widely assumed that either Zach or Jeremy Roloff would takeover when their dad retires.

After Matt tried to explain why he went in a different direction, even citing an alleged deal he had given these twins on the farm, Zach fired back… in shocking fashion.

Tagging his father directly in an Instagram Comment, Zach wrote “this post is extremely misguided and false. My dad is manipulating the narrative right now … [and] not taking responsibility for his own actions and blaming others.

“Dragging the family drama that he created and then manipulate the fan base to make himself come out okay.

“This post his a new shocking low of cowardice and manipulation of his family and kids for his own gain.”

Zach Roloff Looks Sullen

We still can’t believe Zach went there.

On this week’s episode of Little People, Big World, however, we can maybe understand why.

Via a sneak peek posted by Entertainment Tonight, Matt gets into it with ex-wife Amy over this same sale, which he was largely able to put together because Amy sold him all of her parcels of land back in 2019.

“It’s sad that it really ended up the way it did,” Amy tells Matt in the footage.

“I don’t know; there’s a lot of stress and there’s a lot of sadness. What in the world did you do? What happened? How did we get here?

“I think you went crazy or something.

“I don’t know the details or negotiations you dealt with the two boys. For the price it is, the kids can’t afford that.”

For the record, Matt is asking $4 million for thhese 16 acres.

He clarifies to Amy that there’s a “family price” Zach and Jeremy were offered, while the point of contention actually seems to be how the farm would be portioned out.

“We shrunk the property size,” Matt says in his own confessional.

“The two boys didn’t like that… I got to think about all four kids.

“There’s four kids involved, so what’s fair, you know, at the end when the big piece in an estate — what’s the fairest thing you could possibly do?”

Matt then gets personal, however.

“I expected the kids to not take entitlement and start working for it,” he said, adding in a confessional that he’s satisfied with the way things have turned out.

“It wasn’t like I didn’t try to sell it to the kids at basically half off, family discount.

“I’m glad, even with all that, they made other decisions because I don’t think the fit was quite right.

“If the kids had gotten it, I would be stuck maintaining it, maybe even harder than I do now.”

However, to her credit Amy isn’t having it.

“You’re taking responsibility of not creating a legacy,” she tells her ex, prompting Matt to counter as follows:

“There’s a lot going on that you don’t know about.”

Doesn’t sound like this feud is ending any time soon.
