Megan Thee Stallion is sharing new comments about what happened backstage at the MTV VMAs during that moment with Justin Timberlake.

A video went viral during the show as Megan appeared to be yelling at Justin after they ran into each other backstage. However, a source quickly squashed rumors of a feud and explained that there was no fight at all.

After the show, Megan and JT reunited at an after party and made a video together to show there is no feud between them.

Now, Megan is explaining what actually happened.

“I freaking love Justin,” Megan told People. “First of all, I do not have any apps on my phone social media wise except for TikTok. But when somebody asked me, ‘Were you fighting with Justin Timberlake?’ I said, ‘Why would you say that? In what world would Megan Thee Stallion be fighting with Justin Timberlake? What are you talking about?’”

“I just talk with my hands. So I was telling him, ‘No, I didn’t really get to meet you. This does not count.’ I had my in ears in. I couldn’t hear what he was really saying, but we talked after and I was like, ‘Oh man, they think I’m back here tussling with Justin Timberlake,’” she added.

In response to speculation of a feud, Megan said, “That is so foolish. I’m like, ‘Dude, we’re just back here trying to bring sexy back. Y’all think we fighting and s—?’”

Megan also opened up to Billboard, who ask if she was expecting Justin to say “real hot girl sh—” in their TikTok video.

“Dawg! That’s why my mouth was open big! I was so excited! It’s a good feeling when you know the icons know about you. It made me feel good. I was like, ‘C’mon, real hot girl sh—!’” she said.
