If you were unaware, it is customary for a bride to wear “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue” on their wedding day.
Meghan previously revealed that her “something blue” had a special connection to Prince Harry. In fact, it was a piece of the dress she selected for their first date.
In a new interview with Vanity Fair, designer Clare Waight Keller spilled some more details about the hidden blue detail.
“We basically sewed it into the hem of the wedding dress, so she was the only one that knew that it was there. It was a little blue gingham check,” they gushed. “It was the perfect personal memento that was secretly hidden inside the dress.”
What did the Duchess opt out of using to sneak in the blue detail? Clare revealed that she wasn’t interested in using a garter to check off the traditional bridal element.
If you missed it, a recent report revealed one concern that Queen Elizabeth reportedly had about Prince Harry and Meghan‘s marriage.
