It feels like just yesterday Mike Sorrentino married his college sweetheart Lauren Pesce.
It also feels like just yesterday authorities took the Jersey Shore star away in cuffs for committing tax evasion.
But as of two months ago (!), things are back to normal -- Mike has been released from prison and is living his "blessed" life, and time sure did fly by (probably not for him, but for the rest of us), because it has already been one year since he and Lauren said "I do!"
And of course, celebrations were in store.
The happy couple stepped out for a romantic date at The Butcher's Block in New Jersey; the restaurant even surprised the two by playing their wedding song, which Lauren quickly documented to her Instagram Story.
Too! Cute!
"Celebrating Our 1 year Anniversary @Lauren_Sorrentino," Mike captioned a photo to his page, adding a muscle emoji.
As you can see in the photo above, the two looked totally cozy AND cute for their romantic outing as Lauren rocked a leopard print sweatshirt and Mike, a Mickey Mouse t-shirt.
But that wasn't all, the man just got out of prison for heaven's sake! Naturally, they had to hit up all the local eateries.
Later that evening, the lovebirds dined at Anjelica's Restaurant in Sea Bright, New Jersey, to look back on their wedding day.
"Best day of My Life !! The day I Married my Best Friend, Soul Mate & College Sweetheart." he wrote in another Instagram post.
"Here's to our 1 Year Anniversary & Many More My Queen."
(Yes, we realize he is making up for lots of missed time, but men, take notes.)
Lauren also commented on his post, writing, "Happy Anniversary my love! I love you forever!"
Mike's Jersey Shore co-stars also shared their love in the comment section as well.
But besides posts of delicious meals and lovey captions, Mike took the time to share something even more meaningful to his followers -- their wedding video! (which proved their big day was nothing short of a fairytale.)
Sorrentino's wife also took to her own IG to show off their perfect everlasting love, writing in a post:
"Happy Anniversary my love! Thank you for being such an incredibly loving and supportive husband, you are the rock of our family, my best friend & soulmate."
"I couldn't do this life without you. I love you forever!" she wrote.
Many, many years ago the two first met in math class, but on Nov. 1, 2018, Mike and Lauren finally tied the knot at the Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains, NJ.
Unfortunately, Mike spent eight months in prison for one count of tax evasion following their wedding, but he finally returned home in September where he immediately posted a picture of him with Lauren and their dog.
"Living my best life with my beautiful wife."
We really don't think they could be more in love. Do you?
