Naya Rivera’s Final TV Appearance Airs On Netflix Weeks After Her Passing

Naya Rivera‘s fans will get to see the actress in what’s believed to be her final TV appearance on Friday.

Nearly three weeks after her tragic accidental drowning and only seven days since being laid to rest, the Glee alum’s episode of Sugar Rush: Extra Sweet airs on Netflix today where she showcases her talents as guest judge. Starring in episode two of season 3 of the baking competition show, the 33-year-old’s charismatic personality lights up the screen, making it even harder to believe she’s really gone from this world.

Naya, who filmed the ep. in LA back in February, was reported missing on July 8 during a boating trip on Lake Piru with her 4-year-old son Josey. Days later, her body was recovered by divers as her former Glee co-stars and family prayed by the lakeside.

Gladys Gonzalez, Rivera’s manager, was consulted by Netflix over the footage of the late star, choosing to release it as planned, including a note in the opening credits:

“Dedicated To Naya Rivera.”

Our hearts continue to go out to her friends, family, and loved ones. She is so missed.
