Paris Hilton Reveals The Moment She Felt Shamed By Pink Amid Sex Tape Fallout!

Paris Hilton will never forget how Pink shamed her over her infamous sex tape.

The 42-year-old personality has been very candid in her book Paris: The Memoir, including her 2001 sex tape with her then-boyfriend Rick Salomon. As we previously reported, Paris revealed he pressured her into making the video – promising her that “no one else would ever see it.” Despite the heiress repeatedly shutting the idea down since it made her “uncomfortable,” she ultimately felt like she had no choice but to give in after Rick threatened to “find someone” else to make the sex tape. She explained in the memoir:

“He told me if I wouldn’t do it, he could easily find someone who would and that was the worst thing I could think of – to be dumped by this grown man because I was a stupid kid who didn’t know how to play grown-up games.”

Mind you, Paris was 19 at the time while Rick was 33 years old when “1 Night in Paris” was recorded. She was just a teenager. It was beyond disgusting of him. The DJ even said she drank alcohol and took Quaaludes beforehand. Awful. She immediately regretted what happened, but it was sadly released in 2004 without her consent:

“He said he had every right to sell something that belonged to him — something that had a lot of financial value. More value than my privacy, obviously. My dignity. My future. Shame, loss and stark terror swept over me.”

Eventually, the intense scrutiny over the scandal died down. But years later, the shame and public ridicule returned when Pink released her music video for her song Stupid Girls in 2006, in which she parodied Paris’ sex tape. You can check out the clip (below):

Oof.

Paris recalled in her memoir how the 43-year-old singer made her “shame” over the situation worse at the time, writing:

“Pink sang about ‘outcasts and girls with ambition. That’s what I wanna see. But she chose not to see it in me. The world thinks of me as a sex symbol, and I’m here for that, because ‘symbol’ literally means ‘icon.’ But when people saw that sex tape, they didn’t say ‘icon,’ they said ‘slut.’ They said ‘whore.’ And they weren’t shy about it. The whole video is a not-at-all-subtle send-up of ‘porno paparazzi girls’ in general and, specifically, me, in a parody of my infamous sex tape.”

She then offered up an important perspective, saying:

“When everyone was buzzing about a sex tape of a certain teenage girl from a soon-to-be-hit TV show – a girl who said emphatically over and over that she did not want the tape out there – the takeaway was Stupid Girl.”

Innerestingly enough, Pink revealed on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in 2017 that the Stars Are Blind singer once confronted her about the video, sharing:

“Paris was upset with me. She said, ‘I just want you to know that I get it, I’m not dumb, I just play like I’m dumb.’ And I was like, ‘that’s kind of my point… I’m gonna go, good to see ya.’”

And given how much Paris dealt with during the fallout of the sex tape, no one would blame her for feeling hurt by Pink for the video. However, Paris said she chose not to hold a grudge against her and insisted there was no feud between them:

“I have the attention span of a gnat, which means I suck at holding grudges. Anyway, anger doesn’t help; honesty does. So, I’m being honest right now.”

We love to see that Paris is sharing her truth, even though it must not be easy to speak about these painful moments from her past. At this time, Pink has not responded to what the Simple Life alum wrote in her book. Reactions, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments below.
