Prince George Gets Special Coronation Role — But Louis NOT ALLOWED TO COME?! All The Latest Deets!

More details about King Charles III’s highly-anticipated coronation have been revealed!

With the historic event nearly one month away, Buckingham Palace finally gave everyone a peek at the invitation for the big day on May 6 – which revealed the official role Prince William and Princess Catherine AKA Kate Middleton’s eldest son Prince George will have during the service! According to the invite, the 9-year-old will serve as one of eight Pages of Honour.

During the coronation services, King Charles and Queen Camilla will be attended by four of the pages, with His Majesty having Prince George, Lord Oliver Cholmondeley, Master Nicholas Barclay, and Master Ralph Tollemache. Meanwhile, the 75-year-old queen’s grandsons – Master Gus Lopes, Master Louis Lopes, and Master Freddy Parker Bowles – and her great nephew Master Arthur Elliot will act as her Pages of Honour throughout the ceremony. The group will also form part of the procession through the Nave of Westminster Abbey.

So it looks like George has a special part to play on the coronation day! As for his other siblings, the two don’t seem to have as shining of a role as their older brother! A palace source revealed to Page Six on Wednesday that Princess Charlotte will be attending the festivities. But for Prince Louis? The insider shared there is a strong chance he won’t be allowed to come to the coronation after his actions at previous royal events! They noted:

“He’s only 4, after all.”

An official Kensington Palace spokesperson also confirmed to the outlet that “the Prince and Princess of Wales will make a decision on Prince Louis’ attendance closer to the time.” The day will no doubt be long, especially for a young child! Plus, Prince Louis has a habit of stealing the show with his amusing antics. As you may recall, the 4-year-old went viral in June 2022 when he would not stop making funny faces, covering his ears, and saluting while on the balcony during Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.

Then, Louis made headlines once again for sticking his tongue at his mom Princess Catherine at the pageant three days later. His uncle Mike Tindall later shared on The Good, the Bad & the Rugby podcast that the young royal was on a “complete sugar high” at the time after eating “a lot of sweets” before adding:

“It’s tough for the [kids to sit there]. They’re all young. It’s a long time.”

So it is understandable why the royals would want to make sure the focus is solely on the crowning of Charles and not potentially another great viral moment from Louis. Reactions, Perezcious readers? Do you think Prince Louis will end up attending the coronation? Let us know in the comments below!
