Rachel Zegler is aware of the controversy surrounding her Snow White remake, and she’s sending love to her fans for standing by her side.
If you missed it, Disney’s latest live-action remake was mired in controversy after photos from the set emerged online earlier this week.
Critics took issue with the diverse cast that had been selected for that roles that have traditionally been referred to as the “Dwarfs.” Rachel‘s casting was previously also met with a racist backlash, which reignited once again with the new pics.
She took to social media to weigh in on the vitriol and to thank fans for standing by her side. The actress also shared some photos reminding everyone that she has been a princess for years!

“Extremely appreciative of the love i feel from those defending me online,” Rachel wrote before making a request that her supporters “please don’t tag me in the nonsensical discourse about my casting.”
She continued, explaining, “I really, truly do not want to see it.”
Rachel paired her message with four photos of herself dressed up as various princesses as a child, leading with one of her as the coolest Snow White.
“I leave you w these photos! i hope every child knows they can be a princess no matter what,” she wrote.
We love Rachel‘s message and cannot wait to see her portrayal of the classic fairytale! If you missed it, we’ve already gotten a first glimpse of her on set.
Sadly, Rachel isn’t the only Disney princess to have to respond to racist hate over their casting.
