Uh oh. It’s been suggested the so-called “Scandoval” was staged to boost the profile of Vanderpump Rules — but the show actually has some big obstacles to get over if they’re going to pull off the explosive reunion special we’ve all been waiting for!
As Perezcious readers know, s**t has been hitting the fan over in the Bravo universe after Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss were revealed to be having a months-long affair, leading to the end of the TomTom co-owner’s nearly 10-year relationship with Ariana Madix. The cast has been very vocal as they react to the shocking drama in real-time and everyone has been teasing an epic reunion, which is set to be filmed on March 23. That’s next Thursday!! Unfortunately, the producers have a BIG problem on their hands they’ll have to figure out first…

Amid all the relationship drama, Raquel accused co-star Scheana Shay of physically assaulting her in New York City. According to the legal filing, the pair were together in New York City when Scheana found out about the infidelity earlier this month, resulting in alleged violence and injuries to the SUR waitress’ head and eye. You can see the evidence of the alleged brawl (below):
Oof.
It’s clearly a contentious situation… and it’s causing tons of issues for the series! Now, Shay’s lawyer, Neama Rahmani, is accusing Leviss of “sabotaging” the entire VPR production by obtaining a temporary restraining order. Speaking to Page Six on Wednesday, the personal injury attorney said of the upcoming reunion:
“It just can’t happen in any meaningful way while this order is in place.”
Using Raquel’s legal name, the attorney continued:
“The temporary restraining order, as it stands now, currently prohibits Scheana from being within 100 yards of Rachel, so they can’t both be physically present at the reunion.”
Even though his client has denied the allegations, there isn’t enough time to get things sorted out before the filming is set to take place, Neama explained:
“There really is no mechanism to modify this type of temporary civil restraining order before the [March 29 court] hearing, so the reunion, at least having them all together in person, is certainly in jeopardy.”
Sooo, what’s going to happen!? Obviously, viewers are dying to get both their perspectives on the ordeal!

The lawyer predicted one of the TV personalities could appear via Zoom to be present for the taping; however, the feuding co-stars cannot — under any circumstances — actually speak to each other! The attorney stressed:
“Scheana still can’t communicate with Rachel either directly or through an intermediary.”
Oof. So, that means we can only hear the stars discuss their side of the story without any real conversation with one another. It’s better than nothing, but it’s sure a lot less dramatic than most fans would hope to see! Last week, Andy Cohen also addressed the complications of filming the reunion, but he hasn’t come to any conclusions about how it will be filmed, saying last week on Radio Andy:
“I don’t want to lean into hypothetical situations because I don’t want to be quoted talking about a hypothetical. […] All I can say is we’re going to deliver a reunion and that’s what I can tell you. We’re going to deliver a reunion, it’s going to be great.”
On her Scheananigans podcast, Scheana also teased that the cast would need “cages” and “personal bodyguard[s]” as they process the jaw-dropping scandal with Lala Kent adding:
“Security will definitely be amped up.”
Dang. Even if Shay and Leviss aren’t in the same room together, this is 100% going to be a heated reunion!! Reactions? Are you bummed the restraining order is getting in the way of the reunion? Let us know (below)!
