Rebecca Gayheart is looking back on special moments with Eric Dane and their family.

Two days after he died following a battle with ALS, the 54-year-old actress broke her silence on Saturday to post a series of throwback photos to Instagram Stories featuring the Grey’s Anatomy alum and their two daughters, Billie and Georgia Dane. One picture shows the four of them with Eric as he blows out the candles on a cake for his birthday. See (below):

You can tell Eric loved and cared so much for Billie and Georgia. In addition to the pics, Rebecca expressed her gratitude to everyone who donated to the GoFundMe campaign, which his friends set up to support their kids in the wake of the 53-year-old actor’s sudden death. She wrote with a screenshot of the fundraiser:

“Thank you to everyone.”
