Rema is getting candid about his friendship with Selena Gomez.

The 23-year-old Nigerian superstar, who just won for his hit song “Calm Down” with the 31-year-old superstar at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, spoke out in an interview with People.

“‘Calm Down’ did what it’s supposed to do, and I’m proud of it,” he said of the award-winning song.

“Everybody rocks with Selena, first of all. I’ve been rocking with her, and it was a blessing to find out she actually rocks with me. She listens to my music,” he said of adding Selena to the song, adding that she is now “a friend of mine — close friend.”

“Me and Selena talk often. We’re pals. We’ve not had the time to party and celebrate because we’re all working, but of course, we always go back to take it all in,” he continued.
