A royal expert is dissecting Prince Harry‘s relationships with two prominent family members – his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, and his father King Charles.

Speaking to People, royal biographer Robert Hardman weighed in on what happened behind the scenes when the Prince and Meghan Markle announced plans to step back from their royal duties and pursue life in the United States. Chiefly, they hinted at what happened to his relationship with the Queen.

Robert also discussed the chances of reconciling with his father now that Queen Elizabeth is no longer alive and the King is sitting on the throne and overseeing family relationships.
