Ryan and Kayla Lochte continue to go after each other amid their messy divorce!
As Perezcious readers know, the pair announced they broke up in June — four months after Kayla filed for divorce in March. They’re currently locked in an intense legal battle over custody of their three kids, 8-year-old son Caiden, 6-year-old daughter Liv, and 2-year-old daughter Georgia. Ryan’s estranged wife made some serious allegations against him, including that he used drugs in front of their children. He admitted to using in the home but denied ever doing so around the kids.

Kayla then accused his new girlfriend, Molly Gillihan, of acting “inappropriately” around the kiddos, which the couple both denied. Ryan and Molly have been dating since July amid cheating rumors. However, Ryan insisted those claims are also false.
The swimmer is now getting revenge… through a new shady tell-all book! Ryan took to Instagram on Tuesday to announce he is writing a memoir about his life, including his fall from grace following the infamous Rio incident at the 2016 Summer Games, in which he falsely claimed to have been robbed at gunpoint. And during the announcement, the Olympian took a moment to slam Kayla, saying:
“After the Rio scandal, I found myself at my lowest point, with a son on the way with someone I barely knew, who constantly reminded me that he would be forever disappointed in the father I had become. Someone who told me I wasn’t strong enough, man enough… just not enough. I couldn’t believe what my life had become. I really couldn’t. I was depressed to my core, turning to alcohol, drugs, and sleep. Oh, the amount of sleep. Every day, I woke up to be belittled and reminded of my constant failures, day in and day out, until I was eventually kicked out of our family home.”

It is sad if sure! Two days later, however, Kayla clapped back! She posted a video from their 2018 wedding, writing:
“Just going to leave this here
”
In the clip, the two are standing at the altar as a tearful Ryan recites his marriage vows, where he expresses gratitude for Kayla standing by his side after the Rio scandal:
“Standing by my side during Rio was proof that you love me more than I could ever imagined. Those were the darkest days of my life, and I thank God every day that I have you to pick me up. You kept me going. You pushed me to set new goals, and you gave me a reason to live.”
Hmm. That doesn’t sound like someone Ryan “barely knew” and didn’t have his back, as he suggested in the book announcement. At the time, the athlete also told Kayla he would always “respect,” push, and love her, as well as be the best husband and father possible, adding:
“Whether it’s little handwritten notes in the cupboard or a helicopter ride on top of a mountain, I will never stop reminding you of my love for you. Today, as we continue our story, I am confident that no matter what ups and downs we face, as long as we are together on this journey, and I’m in charge of the directions, we will always make it home.”
