Taylor Swift provided fans with a glimpse into how she celebrated the Fourth of July, but some Swifties think that she might have given them even more than that.
The 33-year-old “Snow on the Beach” pop star hopped on Instagram on Friday (July 7) to share a couple of photos from the holiday weekend, effectively revealing who she was hanging out with.
Did the post also contain an Easter Egg hinting at the next album she plans to re-release?

By now you likely know that Taylor is in the process of re-releasing her earliest albums in an effort to regain ownership of her masters. She’s already released several, with the most recent being Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). It arrived on Friday with several previously unreleased songs from her Vault.
Swifties wonder if her Fourth of July post included a hint that she was gearing up to drop 1989 (Taylor’s Version) next. Why? They noticed that the second photo in Taylor‘s post included four Polaroid photos.
1989 used Polaroids heavily in the marketing. The album’s cover was even a Polaroid photo!
As a result, Swifties rushed to Twitter to hypothesize that 1989 would be the next album that gets a formal re-release. However, some fans weren’t as quick to run with the theory.
“Has it occurred to u all that taylor swift just enjoys polaroid photos and it’s not a 1989 easter egg,” one fan tweeted.
What’s the truth? We’ll have to wait and see!
To be fair, there have been theories about when 1989 (Taylor’s Version) was coming out since last year. That’s in part because we’ve already gotten Taylor’s Version of a couple songs on the tracklist.
Did you know that Taylor changed the lyrics to one of the songs on Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)?
