Although they have a physical distance between them — New Jersey to Italy — both appeared relieved Joe is now a free man, though the future of their relationship still seems a bit unclear. The 47-year-old reality TV husband explained:
“As long as she’s happy, that’s all that really matters. If she doesn’t feel like she wants to be with me anymore, that’s what she’s got to do.”
Referring to their four daughters, Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star shared (below) that they understand why their parents may need to get a divorce:
“I think they get it. I mean, I don’t think they want to see it happen, obviously. But they understand.”
While his current living situation isn’t ideal, Joe is grateful he is now allowed to freely and “constantly” communicate with his girls:
“I’m pretty close with my daughters, we talk all the time.”
As for the future of their marital relationship, even if he and his wife cannot be together, Mr. Giudice has a pretty good idea of who the Fabulicious! author should end up with:
“She needs to find somebody with a lot of money. She needs to not date these little young guys who have no money… her way of living isn’t cheap. She’s high maintenance.”
While the 47-year-old seemed doubtful her husband had been faithful to her while she was behind bars, he claims he was. Joe laughed, sharing:
“It’s been three and a half years. If I wanted to be with somebody, I would have been with somebody this week.”

Dating pre-requisites aside, the mother of four says she and Joe have both changed a lot over the course of the past few years:
“I’ve been on my own now for three years and seven months and we’re both two different people. I’m not the same Teresa I was and I know he’s not the same Joe.”
The pair also touched on Joe’s incarceration and subsequent deportation to Italy. Reflecting on the time spent in an ICE detention facility awaiting his move, he revealed (below):
“It was a terrible experience. I don’t wish that on anybody. For five months I was locked down in a room. I was going bonkers. That place should be shut down.”
Ch-ch-check out more from the not so happy couple (below):
