TikTok star Kyle Marisa Roth worried both of her parents on the day she was found dead, and it’s all because of something they saw in one video she posted online earlier this month.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ on Tuesday, the Annapolis Police Department responded to a call from one of her parents about conducting a welfare check at her apartment complex on April 14. They hadn’t heard from the social media personality in a while; her dad, Robert, told law enforcement he last spoke to Kyle on April 8. Meanwhile, her mom, Jacquie, said she hadn’t spoken to her daughter in months. But it was more than just Kyle’s lack of communication that sounded off the alarm bells for her parents…

Jacquie told authorities she grew concerned after watching a video Kyle posted on April 4. The video in question is unknown. She posted 21 times that day, including one video talking about her engaging in “very violent sleep-seeking behavior” and taking “10 pills a night” to help her sleep. OMG?! See (below):

Again, the exact clip Jacquie mentioned is unknown. And the reason for her concern is unclear, as TMZ reported the incident report is heavily redacted. Whatever Jacquie saw in the video spooked both the parents enough to the point where one of them felt the need to call for a welfare check on her. And sadly, the pair were right about their gut feelings. According to the report, the cops got a manager to open the apartment on April 14. And inside, they found Kyle dead. Heartbreaking.
The documents didn’t reveal in the report what happened or how they found Kyle. However, police noted that she was “beyond help.” Whoa. Law enforcement sources told TMZ the initial call to the apartment came in as a possible overdose — but there was zero indication in the report that drugs were suspected. In the docs, police only mentioned that the medical examiner took over the case, and an autopsy was warranted. Her parents also informed the police there wasn’t anything out of the ordinary with Kyle. But as we previously reported, Kyle did mention on Instagram she was “struggling so badly with depression” two months before her death. Oof.
Unfortunately, we won’t get answers about the gossip influencer’s death for a while. A rep for the Chief Medical Examiner Office in Baltimore, Maryland told Radar Online on April 16 that her autopsy was completed. However, the toxicology report “is not final and won’t be for roughly 60-90 days.” So it could take over two months to find out about her cause of death, including if she had any substances in her system at the time.
