Even more interesting, Tom spent a majority of his career with the New England Patriots, one of the Jets’ rivals. This has made fan chatter even louder, as it would be quite the move if Tom ever played for the Jets.

NFL insider Dianna Russini has the scoop: Tom is not coming out of retirement.

Dianna tweeted, “You can mark one name off the Jets’ list of potential QBs: Tom Brady. I’m told the team will not be inquiring with Brady about any interest in a return to football. Brady has also made clear to people close to him, he’s done playing football.”

She added, “The Jets have made it clear the last 24 hours that Zach Wilson is their starter. I’m told this is their plan headed into Dallas and beyond, per multiple sources. While they have looked at every option on the table, the team believes Wilson is their best choice.”
