Tradwife Influencer Hannah Neeleman Blasted For Selling Cutting Board At An OUTRAGEOUS Price! Here’s How She Reacted…

The price for Hannah Neeleman’s latest product has jaws dropping!

The tradwife influencer, known as Ballerina Farm, currently has a maple wood Scalloped Cutting Board, measuring 24 by 17 inches, for sale on her website. Hannah promised it is “crafted from solid maple and finished with a food-safe seal,” making it a “beautiful” and “functional” cutting board that will last for years. The description further noted:

“The soft scalloped edges add a timeless charm, whether you’re preparing a meal or setting the perfect spread for gathering. Each board is handcrafted locally, ensuring quality that lasts for years to come.”

It sounds great, right? However, we need to discuss the price of this thing. Hannah is selling the board for a whopping $259! We are serious! A piece of wood costs over $200! Wild! Social media users slammed the price this month, with some feeling like it’s a money grab. People pointed out that cookbook author Ree Drummond’s The Pioneer Woman line has a similar board for way less. It’s $15 at Walmart, and “just as cute,” as one person put it. Others called out the quality of the board, saying it looks “cheap.” Damn. Watch some of the reactions (below):

@rustichippies

I’m sorry I’m not trying to hurt someone’s commission, but I do believe lying to people about this product only makes you look bad. It’s $260. That’s not cheap but it’s a cheap product. #sales #commission #honesty #choppingboard #charcuterie

Well, Hannah heard the complaints loud and clear! She reacted to the controversy in an eight-minute-long video posted to Instagram on Thursday! According to the social media personality, the boards are handmade by a local family:

“A lot of comments are coming in about this scalloped cutting board saying that it’s expensive and it is. I actually got this board a few years ago. I think it was three years ago. A local mom dropped it off, and she was like, ‘My husband and I make these. We handmake them. And I wanted you to have it.’ She was honestly one of the most genuine people I had ever met, and she’s actually a good friend of mine now.”

Since launching the boards on the site, Hannah said she changed the lives of the family:

“But she came up to me this summer with tears in her eyes and was like, ‘I cannot believe that you’re selling these cutting boards at the rate that you are because it’s really changed the dynamic of our family and our family business.’”

That is amazing. But why the high price? Why not sell it for cheaper and possibly make more money? The 34-year-old former ballet dancer blamed the board’s weight for the cost, adding:

“There’s a lot of decisions we make in the business that really ensure quality in our products, but in the same breath it’s also like we are building a business and jumping into a lot of new things with a lot of eyes on us.”

Hannah acknowledged there have been “so many bumps” along the way as she and her husband, Daniel, have built their brand, and they are just trying to figure it out:

“People expect us to have all of this figured out because we have a lot of followers, but it’s just been interesting to navigate the past few months. How do I navigate being a mother, a business owner, growing and sharing all at the same time? It’s just been a tricky last little bit.”

The TikToker went on to point out, as an example, that she also sells a box of 20 handmade croissants for $144 (!!!) on the website. However, she insisted it reflects the manual labor and shipping costs, not because she is jacking up the price since she is a public figure:

“They are an expensive product, and it’s not because we’re upping the price because we have an audience online. These are not our shipping costs, this is just what the mail carriers charge us.”

Hmm. Watch her entire video (below):
