Travis Scott Accused Of Assaulting Sound Engineer In NYC Nightclub Over… The Music’s Volume?!

Sounds like Travis Scott has found himself in some legal trouble yet again.

According to a report from Page Six on Wednesday, the Astroworld rapper was involved in a fight in a nightclub that might lead to an arrest! Yikes! The outlet reported that police responded to an assault call early Wednesday at the nightclub Nebula in New York City after Travis was allegedly involved in an argument with a sound engineer that soon turned into a full-blown physical fight. Law enforcement sources claim the 30-year-old punched the sound engineer in the face and caused $12,000 worth of damages to equipment.

A second insider recalled the Sicko Mode artist looking “poised for battle” the moment he came into the club, saying:

“Travis came in angry and intoxicated and progressively went postal. His shirt said ‘Back the f**k up.’ It’s like he was poised for battle. It was foreshadowing.”

What led to the heated incident? The source said Travis was “upset about the sound” and the altercation happened within 10 minutes of him arriving at the establishment:

“It was fast and furious.”

A third insider further explained the situation to the outlet, revealing that the sound engineer had lowered the volume on the speakers since Travis had it “blasting and distorted.” That’s when things escalated between the two men and turned violent:

“Travis then walks over to the soundman yelling aggressively in his face on why he lowered the sound, then he smacks the soundman right across the face.”

Whoa. Per the third source, the father of Stormi and Aire Webster then took a fan’s phone who was recording another artist’s show and threw it on the ground:

“It caused a big commotion between Travis’ security and club security. After that Travis took the phone from one fan who was recording Don Toliver’s performance and threw the phone on the floor.”

In addition to the physical altercation, the Goosebumps musician allegedly damaged a speaker and video screen before fleeing the scene in an unknown vehicle. Page Six also reported that the victim didn’t have any visible injuries nor did he complain of any pain. At this time, the outlet noted that a complaint was made, but Travis has not been arrested for the alleged incident. Wow…

This isn’t the first time Travis has faced some legal issues. He previously was charged with inciting a riot in May 2017, to which he pleaded not guilty, and pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in February 2018. And of course, Kylie Jenner’s ex-boyfriend has been in major hot water ever since the devastating tragedy at his Astroworld Festival.

Ten people died from compression asphyxia after a stampede broke out during the concert in November 2021. The victims’ families and other attendees have since filed 400 lawsuits against Travis, Live Nation, and others involved in the festival. These suits were later combined into one civil case for nearly 2,800 victims, accusing them of negligence. Travis and Live Nation have denied any wrongdoing.

As for his current predicament, the rapper has not addressed the accusations. Everyone will have to wait and see what happens next or if he makes a statement about the legal matter. Reactions to the situation, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments below.
