Vanderpump Rules Stars Stassi Schroeder & Kristen Doute Apologize To Faith Stowers For Past Racist Behavior!

Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute are apologizing to their former Vanderpump Rules castmate Faith Stowers.

Taking to their individual Instagram accounts on Sunday, both women broke their silence and expressed remorse over their controversial past treatment of Stowers when she appeared on the Bravo series during seasons 4 and 6.

In case you missed it, Stowers went on IG live last week and spoke at length about how difficult it was being the “only Black person” on the hit reality series. Specifically, she recalled a 2018 incident where Schroeder and Doute called the police to try and pin a series of crimes committed by a random Black woman wanted for theft on her. Faith said both women also made disparaging racist remarks about her hair and character that made her want to “run for the hills.”

Schroeder’s apology began:

“Racially insensitive comments from my past have resurfaced. It is important that I continue to take accountability for what I have said and done, while pushing myself to do better. I have grown significantly from the person I was then, and I am still filled with remorse and regret for the hurt I caused.”

The 31-year-old expressed she was “grateful” for the people in her life that continue to “check me” and “push me to evolve into a more educated person,” and then continued to address Faith directly:

“I also want to address my former castmate, Faith Stowers. My emotions over something that happened between our friends outweighed my logic, and there is no excuse for that. I did not recognize then the serious ramifications that could have transpired because of my actions. What I did to Faith was wrong. I apologize and I do not expect forgiveness.”

Stassi concluded her statement by also apologizing to “anyone else that feels disappointed in me” and pledged to take accountability for her privilege.

Up next is Kristen’s apology, where she admitted to taking some time to “process what I’ve been seeing, feeling and learning,” before ultimately realizing where she went wrong with her actions against Faith.

“Although, my actions were not racially driven, I am now completely aware of how my privilege blinded me from the reality of law enforcement’s treatment of the black community, and how dangerous my actions would have been to her. It never was my intention to add to the injustice and imbalance.”

She added:

“I’m ashamed, embarrassed, and incredibly sorry. I will do better. I have to do better.”

We couldn’t agree more, gurl. Do better! Her actions appear even worse in light of the ongoing fight against police brutality and conversations on how the Black community has been disproportionately targeted by law enforcement. It cannot be understated how dangerous this move was! You can read her statement in full (below):

Both women have some serious reflecting to do, and we mean more than just a knee-jerk apology and some pro-Black Lives Matter posts.

As we previously reported, several brands have already cut ties with Stassi for her previous behavior including Secret Deodorant, vitamin brand Ritual, and shaving company Billie.

Faith, for her part, has since told E! News about the fan feedback after she exposed her former co-stars:

“I have been receiving so much support. It’s crazy… It’s been overwhelming and it makes me feel like I was actually heard this time. I just want to say this is not an attack on Vanderpump Rules. It wasn’t done on the show.”

Cast members Brittany Cartwright, Jax Taylor, and series creator Lisa Vanderpump were also named in her social media confessional, but neither of them has yet to address her claims. Do U think either of these apologies will be enough to smooth things over with Bravo fans??
