Video of Britney Spears Being Hit by Security Guard Calls NBA Player's Recollection Into Question

A video of the moment that Britney Spears was hit in the face by Victor Wembanyama‘s security guard has been released, and it calls the NBA player’s recollection of the moment into question.

The 41-year-old pop star and her security team filed a police report, accusing the guard – who has been identified as Damian Smith, the security director for Victor‘s NBA team the San Antonio Spurs – of assault.

The newly obtained clip seemingly confirms a key component of Britney‘s retelling of the moment, while seemingly disproving Victor‘s claim that she was grabbing him from behind.

TMZ obtained the video, which shows Britney approaching Victor from behind and saying “Sir” in a British accent. However, she only appears to tap the basketball player on the back. She never seems to forcibly grab him.

You can see the moment that Damian‘s hand reaches out and makes contact with Britney, though it is unclear if he hit her in the face or caused her to hit herself. Either way, she did not fall to the ground but did lose her sunglasses.

The video also captured Britney‘s response: “That’s America for you. F-ck you all.”

Despite filing a report, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department opted out of pressing charges. TMZ noted that the decision was made because it did not appear that he hit her “intentionally.”

In her statement, Britney said that she never received an apology.
