It feels like Pete Davidson has now dated every female celebrity besides, like, Judi Dench and Helen Mirren. And rumors like this one only seem to keep the legend of Pete’s love alive!

The 29-year-old comedian has dated a lot of incredibly beautiful and capable A-list women in the past few years: Ariana Grande, Kate Beckinsale, Kim Kardashian, Emily Ratajkowski, and many more. But could he be mixing things up for the TikTok generation with this next relationship?! As in, could he really be dating Ice Spice?????

That’s the rumor flying around on social media right now, at least. According to Twitter and Instagram users, the former Saturday Night Live star has hooked up with the 23-year-old rapper, whose real name is Isis Gaston. WHAT?!

Now, let’s get this out of the way immediately: that relationship rumor is FALSE. Fake AF! Totally phony! The Meet Cute star and the social media sensation are not a couple. Uh, not for now, at least. We think. LOLz!

Interestingly, this rumor actually started nearly two weeks ago over on IG. The meme account @itsfinisher appears to have posted the very first “report” of Davidson’s dalliance with the young rapper. Alongside a picture of the pair and a headline claiming they are “now dating,” the account’s caption read in part:

“He can’t keep getting away with this. W or L!?”

But the only ‘L’ here was for the followers who didn’t scroll to keep reading!!! A few lines under that salacious claim, the account added this important disclaimer:

“This is satire. This is not real (thankfully) this is for entertainment purposes only.”

So it’s not true. And it never was! FAKE NEWS! But the disinformation bubbled up online, and over the last ten days it quietly made the rounds. Then on Monday, for whatever reason, it absolutely blew up over on Twitter!!

Pete and Ice both trended on Elon Musk‘s social media site, with thousands upon thousands of fans jumping in with thoughts, jokes, memes, and reactions to the extremely not real relationship! And even though the “rumor” on which Twitter based its reactions was totally false, the tweets were still funny as f**k!

After a few hours, Twitter started to wise up to the fact that the King of Staten Island star had NOT linked up with the rising rapper. Upon learning the dating rumors were phony, users took the social site with reactions to that, too:

FWIW, Davidson is still thought to be dating Chase Sui Wonders. The two have been spotted together several times over the last few weeks, including a January vacay in Hawaii. They also shared a kiss at the Daytona 500 earlier this month. Plus, Pete and Chase were seen out and about together for Valentine’s Day and more. So they would seem to be very much on!

And we know at least one person who is probably happy these rumors are false: North West. Yes, Kim Kardashian‘s daughter is OBSESSED with Ice Spice! The mom-daughter duo have posted TikTok vids to their shared account of them lip-syncing to the rapper’s songs. Plus, North has drawn literal portraits of the up-and-coming star. That would sure be an awkward obsession if Ice turned out to be dating Kim’s ex. Just saying! Thank goodness for North that it’s false!
