Amy Robach and her estranged husband Andrew Shue are taking their time on the divorce.
In the months since the 50-year-old’s affair with former Good Morning America co-host T.J. Holmes came to light, the two have been showing no remorse while seemingly living their best lives together. From steamy getaways, to ring shopping, and building up lots of “stamina,” the two haven’t been shy about showing off their lovey-dovey status. But how exactly does her unresolved marriage play into it all? Well, we’ve got the details.
A source close to the former talk show host told the US Sun Wednesday that while she and Andrew haven’t officially filed, the two are “continuing to hash out their divorce outside of court.” Hey, more power to ‘em. We all know how messy court can get…

The insider added of the estranged pair’s situation:
“It will be filed once it’s ready to be finalized. As we know, these things do take time.”
The two were married for 12 years, so we’re sure they have a LOT to comb through before they can officially bid each other farewell. Family law expert Goldie Schon further spoke to the outlet on how Amy and Andrew will “hash it all out” privately to avoid bringing more attention to the situation:
“They will finish it all up and only file it when they have to. Andrew Shue is a public figure — he clearly wants no part of this drama.”
We reported back in January that the two had been trying to keep things “amicable” as they are both involved in one another’s childrens’ lives. Amy, of course, shares daughters Ava and Annalise with ex-husband Tim McIntosh, while Andrew shares sons Nate, Aidan, and Wyatt with ex-wife Jennifer Hageney. Schon added:
“They were already separating when she got involved with TJ, and he has clearly made a concerted effort to not be involved in this mess.”

Word was the former couple had called it quits as early as last August — three months before her scandal with T.J. broke, possibly even because he wasn’t supporting her running goals. Ultimately, though, Schon suspects Andrew is staying out of the public eye because “he wants no part in the chaos they’ve created, and nothing to do with this circus.”
Back in December, a source close to Amy revealed “there is no specific date for their divorce to be finalized, but they are making very good progress. They are dealing with all of it — property, everything. It’s going to be a complete resolution of everything.”
T.J.’s divorce from ex-wife Marilee Fiebig, on the other hand, is a different story… What do you think about Amy and Andrew handling all their business in private, Perezcious readers? Are they going about it the right way? Let us know in the comment down below!
