Amy Schumer‘s friends are on alert! But should they be??

While she might be flaunting her new thin body online and laughing through the heartbreak of her divorce, apparently it’s a warning sign to those in her inner circle!

Speaking to DailyMail.com on Thursday, insiders cautioned that the comedian’s recent (and since-deleted) bikini photo dump is a BIG red flag! Her friends and even her estranged husband Chris Fischer have taken notice and are keeping a close eye on her, an insider dished:

“With the Instagram rants and bathing suit pics, she is obviously craving attention. She is taking the struggle [of divorce] head on – but we will probably continue to see more cries for attention. She is trying to deal with the divorce and her new look – but she doesn’t really know what she is doing. It is all still new. Her new body, her new life and her fresh divorce. It’s lot all at once.”

While her latest behavior isn’t being viewed as a “full unwinding” by her pals, they’re still wary:

“No one is concerned that she is going to go crazy over it all, but they’re monitoring her behavior and only want the best for her.”

Oof. Why don’t they trust her?

Interestingly, the insider added that the chef is “more heartbroken [than Schumer] over the finality of their relationship and the divorce.” It complicates things that he “doesn’t like the attention it is getting,” the source explained:

“[He is] happy that he isn’t a big celebrity himself, because he believes that would make it so much worse.”

But, obviously, he can’t ignore the media:

“But it is still a pressure-filled situation with Amy in the public eye – and will be for the foreseeable future – so whatever she gets into or does will likely trickle down to him and their kid. So, Chris is in a bit of a ‘wait and see’ trajectory, hoping that certain things Amy does won’t affect him, but we’ll see how the world turns in the next few months.”

Another confidant said the exes “continue to talk and have seen each other since the breakup,” noting:

“They are trying to figure out how to move forward while living apart but co-parenting their child and just making this as graceful as possible.”

Divorce, especially with children in the mix, is so, so hard! But it sounds like they made the right decision for their family:

“It is for the best that they are no longer together, but as much as they would like the divorce to be settled quickly, that may be more easily said than done. She is perceived as the breadwinner and may have to give up a lot more.”

Uh oh…

Now that she’s on her own — and maybe cause she thinks she might pull the short straw in the divorce settlement — the actress is ready to pour her attention into work! The second source teased:

“Amy has been looking into doing more work this year, including a new special as she has been writing a bunch. Her new material will focus on her marriage ending, and she’s also been looking to get into more TV and films and maybe even write a few books.”

Damn. She’s about to be INSANELY busy if she thinks she’s doing all that and writing a “few books.” That’s a lot of work. LOLz!

Last month, another source told the outlet that she’s ready to get back to her career after putting it largely on the back burner once having her son, Gene. Sounds like nothing is stopping her now! We just hope her friends are worrying for nothing! We mean, it kinda sounds like it, right? Let the woman live a little! Jeez!
