Ashley Tisdale has called out her “toxic” mom group, but even Hollywood insiders aren’t on her side!
If you missed it, the High School Musical alum opened up about why she left her mom group in an essay for The Cut last week, claiming she was sick of being left out. Removing herself from the mean girl energy, she fired off a text to the group, writing:
“This is too high school for me and I don’t want to take part in it anymore.”
While her reps have since hit back at speculation that she was dissing fellow celebs Mandy Moore, Hilary Duff, or Meghan Trainor, who are all famously in the same mom group, the internet just ain’t buying it! It doesn’t help that many in the group are seemingly fighting back at the drama.

Hilary’s husband, Matthew Koma, had the most obvious reaction to the controversy when he shared a parody version of Ashley’s magazine cover photo, captioning it:
“A Mom Group Tell All Through A Father’s Eyes. When You’re The Most Self Obsessed Tone Deaf Person On Earth, Other Moms Tend To Shift Focus To Their Actual Toddlers.”
Damn!
As shady as that stance may seem, he’s not alone in the thinking. A source familiar with the ongoing feud told Page Six on Wednesday that “Matthew gave her what she had coming.” Oof!
The source went on to BLAST Ash, saying “she’s insufferable,” and adding that the friend group breakup “has been a long time coming.”
Yeesh.
Other reports have claimed the Phineas and Ferb star’s political views were a big reason her gal pals started to distance themselves, and they were all hurt when she “didn’t offer to help” when many were impacted by last year’s LA fires, making them feel “abandoned by her.”
It certainly seems more complicated than the actress tried to paint at the start.
