Every year People names the Sexiest Man Alive and releases a list of other celebs who are among the list of sexiest throughout the year.

The 2023 Sexiest Man Alive was just announced with an actor over 50 years old, but it’s not the first time someone of his age has been named.

This feature has been unveiled for several decades, after the first one being revealed in 1985, with then 29-year-old Mel Gibson.

Since then, 38 more celebrities have held the title, including one Sexiest Couple. There was also once a Sexiest Woman Alive!

The title has been bestowed upon mostly actors, with some singers being named – Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and John Legend – as well as a former First Son, John F Kennedy Jr.

Throughout the years, a total of six men over the age of 50 have been named People‘s Sexiest Man Alive.
