The Bachelorette Has Started Filming… and It’s a Chaotic Mess!

The Bachelorette made history two weeks ago when it announced Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey as The Bachelorette.

Both.

Together.

As the first-ever co-Bachelorettes.

But here's the thing with making history:

Sometimes, it goes very badly.

According to a new report in The Sun, this has been the exact situation thus far for The Bachelorette Season 19, which started shooting last week in Los Angeles.

“It’s been chaos behind the scenes," a source told this outlet a few days ago.

This insider went on to claim that producers had no idea who to select as The Bachleorette, and basically panicked when going with Gabby and Rachel.

Continues this same Sun report:

"Execs went with the two Bachelorette leads as an impulse decision because of how strong the reaction was to both women [on The Bachelor Season 26] and their friendship.

"But also because they needed to shake up the franchise after the past few years of turmoil."

Recchia and Windey, of course, bothh advanced to the final three on Clayton Echard's very recent season of The Bachelor.

They both slept with Echard in their respective Fantasy Suites.

Then, they were both rejected by Clayton after he realized that the only woman he truly loved was eventual winner Susie Evans.

“Watching it back, everything is so muddled, and you are clearly pitting us against each other," Gabby told Clayton on ABC's After the Final Rose special, just minutes before she and Rachel were announced as dual leads.

There were viewers who wanted to see Rachel as The Bachelorette and others who pushed for Gabby.

In the end, executives gave them both.

However...

"I don’t think they thought it would be this big of a challenge to figure out the logistics," The Sun writes.

Clayton and His Finalists

It remains unclear just how the upcoming season will go.

Will the suitors decide which of the two women they want to date? Will Gabby and Rachel hold joint Rose Ceremonies? Will they compete over the same guys?

"There is still no definitive process set up for how they will handle the two leads," the source said last Thursday.

"Certain producers are feeding on that uncertainty, though, because they know the more chaotic it is, the better the drama will be for this season.

"They don’t even care if Gabby and Rachel end up hating each other by the end. They just want a good show and better ratings.”

This isn't the only issue with the new season, meanwhile.

Jesse Palmer will take over as host from Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe, a decision that isn't sitting well with the ex-Bachelorettes.

A source close to production previously told The Sun that the two ladies weren't "happy with how they were tossed to the side, and Tayshia seems over the whole show.”

Concludes the insider on this topic:

“Tayshia and Kaitlyn have no plans on returning to host in the near future. Kaitlyn still gets involved with the franchise but Tayshia seems completely done.”

The Bachelor premieres on July 11 at 8/7c on ABC.
