Jessica Simpson spent some time with the legendary Bernie Taupin over the weekend!

The 42-year-old singer stepped out to attending the Grammy winner’s art exhibition opening at Choice Contemporary Gallery on Saturday (June 17) in Brentwood, Calif.

Jessica and her husband Eric Johnson rubbed shoulders with Bernie and other VIP guests at the event, where the artist reflected on his 50-year creative journey with Elton John.

“I spend most of my free time creating visual art now, so I decided to create a body of work in honor of my other body of work, just this once,” Bernie shared in a note. “Fans share often that my lyrics and Elton’s melodies have shaped and changed their lives in dramatic, everlasting ways. How can I possibly express my gratitude to the millions of fans who have impacted my life? These especially crafted works of art are my best effort, and I am so pleased to share this very personal art with you.”
